We have only had it installed for a week, but I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed now that I have actually used it. I think it would be better for older kids who could open and close it and operate it through the menus by themselves, but not so much for young kids. It is not front seat friendly. I had it professionally installed, which cost $300 although I had them direct wire the sound to my AUX port on the stereo and they added extra metal bracing from the included base plate to the roof to hold this thing up.
